A Machine Tool is a power-manufactured mechanical device, usually used for precision cutting of metal to produce other machines or machined metal parts.

In order to process a workpiece, the machine creates a relative motion between the workpiece and the tool. This movement can be divided into main movement and feed movement. These two movements overlap to make raw material processing possible. Originally, in the early days of the Industrial Revolution, parts were processed manually. The invention of machine tools enabled machines to make machines, and the era of the explosion of factories also followed. But now with the progress of technology, the category of machine tools also includes 3D printers, this machine uses the direct printing forming method, but the theory is based on the above-mentioned cutting method instead of using the pile to produce parts.
